Kathy Jane Townsend, 55, of Corinth passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Denton. She was born March 30, 1961 in Denton, Texas to Robert and Charlene Townsend. She attended Denton Schools and worked as locally as a cashier.

A Visitation for Kathy is scheduled for 6-8 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2016 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Mike Townsend officiating. Kathy's wishes are for the service to be casual.

Kathy is survived by her husband James Butler, mother Charlene Townsend, daughters, Kenya Hail and Kristy Clem, sister, Lisa Demore and four grandchildren.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father Robert Townsend, sister, Tammy Townsend Faulkner and two brothers Wayne and Tony Townsend.
