Obituary

Kelly William Box passed into eternal rest on July 13, 2012. He graduated in 1980 from Texas A&M University. He taught Ag Science in Big Sandy, TX west Hardin CCISD Saratoga, TX and Northwest ISD. After his teaching career Kelly remained active in the Northwest School District. He served 25 years as President of the NW FFA alumni organization and was a founding member of the NW Educational Foundation and served on the NW Long range playing committee which laid the groundwork for the extensive growth that Northwest ISD has experienced the last several years.

Professionally Kelly remained active in Agriculture he and his wife Sallye owned and operated Morris-Box Ranch LLC in the Drop Community outside Justin. Eventually they raised Registered Red Angus. He was elected as President and Vice President of the Texas Red Angus Association. He was awarded the honorary state FFA Degree and awarded outstanding career and tech supporter by the Texas Education Agency and was made an honorary member of the Drop Home Demonstration Club. He Helped Build and designed two churches FBC Justin and Denton County Cowboy Church. He worked with Sr. adults taking them on trips all over the United States, Mexico and Canada. Taught Sunday School and Bible Study for over 20 years but enjoyed most raising 2 daughters, 1 son and 8 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth A. Box. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Sallye Box; 3 children, Amy and her husband Corey Lane of Justin, Jill and her husband Denver Fredenburg of Dripping Springs and son Randall and wife Tara Box of Justin; 8 grandchildren, Chloe, Lucy, Pete and Hank of Dripping Springs, Susan, Tyler, Kassi and Ely of Justin; mother Elaine Box; brother Kyle and his wife Kim Box, 1 niece and 1 nephew and many friends

Visitation will be Sunday July 15, 2012 5:00pm-7:00Pm at First Baptist Church Justin. Funeral service will be Monday July 16, 2012 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Justin burial will follow at Eakins Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Justin Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 613 Justin, TX 76247 or the charity of your choice.
