IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kelvin Bruce
Mack
February 18, 1960 – March 21, 2026
Kelvin Mack, known to many as “The Dog” and to most as “Mack,” 66, of Denton, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love he so freely gave to others.
Kelvin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend—but more than anything, he was a people person through and through. Outgoing, talkative, and full of personality, he never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. His presence was big, his heart even bigger.
A proud local, Kelvin attended Pilot Point High School before continuing his education at New Mexico Military Institute. He dedicated 33 years of service to FEMA, where he became known not just for his hard work but for his humor, energy, and ability to bring people together.
Kelvin loved being outside, staying busy, and connecting with others—whether that meant grilling, working in the yard, washing cars, or simply laughing and talking for hours. He lived life with joy, openness, and a spirit that drew people in.
He is survived by his wife, Dagmar; daughters, Bianca and Stacy; sons, Jeremy and Micah; and his beloved grandchildren. His family and friends will forever carry his laughter, his stories, and the love he gave so freely.
Arrangements are with DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas. A celebration of his life will be announced.
In place of flowers, the family asks that you honor Kelvin by showing kindness to others, striking up a conversation, lending a helping hand, or brighten someone's day.
“Some people bring light into a room just by being in it—Kelvin was one of those people.”
