IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Wayne
Ford
May 14, 1944 – November 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Wayne Ford (81), who gained his wings on November 6, 2025, in Krum, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on May 14, 1944, in Denton, Texas
Ken was a true Texan and an entrepreneurial spirit. Since 1972, he built a legacy as the owner of his excavation and farming business, a testament to his unwavering work ethic. If there was a job to be done, Ken was absolutely the man to do it.
Beyond his work life, Ken was a man who cherished good times and fellowship. His sense of humor could always be found around a table of dominoes. He took immense pride in his Texas BBQ ability, often sharing his meat-smoking talents with friends and family using his own custom-designed and welded smokers that never failed to draw a crowd out to the farm. When he wasn't feeding the masses or celebrating life, you could find him outdoors with his boys and friends, enjoying the simple pleasures of catfishing or hunting.
Ken's greatest treasure was his family. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, J. Travis and Oleta Ford, and his infant daughter, Shari Delynn Ford.
He leaves behind his devoted wife and soulmate of 54 years, Kathryn Joyce Ford. His legacy continues to pass on through his children:
Daughter, Lisa Jarmon of Sherman, TX, Son & Daughter-in-law, Jerry & Candy Ford of Denver, CO., Son and Daughter-in-law, John and Shannon Ford of Krum, TX.
He will be deeply missed by many friends, as well as his 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 West University, Denton, TX 76201.
