Kenneth E. Leeder passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at his home in Whitesboro, Texas. He was 73 years old.

He was born on February 6, 1947 in Savannah, Georgia. He was a lifelong resident of Denton County prior to moving to Grayson County, to enjoy his retirement out in the country.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Jo and Henry Paul Leeder; and his sister, Marleen Riceburg.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Leeder; his sister Sharon Kendall; his brothers, Paul, Wayne, and Richard Leeder; his sons, Larry and Henry Leeder; his daughters, Lari Sample and Leah Leeder. He is also survived by several cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, beloved cousins, nieces and nephews; and numerous treasured friends.

Kenny enjoyed designing cable systems, which led to a successful career in cable engineering. He retired from Cable One after over 25 years.

He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved spending time with all his family, playing golf, fishing, cooking, and tending to his land in Whitesboro.

Beginning in mid-May, he began losing his battle to multiple myeloma. His family is especially grateful for the care that he received from the Grayson County Home Hospice.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 5:00pm in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. A non-profit organization whose mission is focused on accelerating the cure for multiple myeloma.
