Obituary

Kenny Kranz passed away peacefully at home on Easter morning April 9, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 26,1938, he grew up in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. He lived 40 years in Texas; 20 years in Southlake and most recently, 20 years in Lantana. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cindy; his brother and sister, Hugo Kranz Jr. and Linda Ashcraft, his two sons, Lane (husband Stan Heatly) and Wes (wife Lesley), and their four grandchildren, Max (21), Macie (20), Noah (18) and Lucas (13). Kenny served in the Navy on several aircraft carriers from 1962 - 1965. He spent more than 60 years in the garment and paper industries, and built several successful businesses. To his family, Kenny is remembered as a dreamer, a beach bum, and a cowboy-at-heart. Kenny loved to travel. He sailed and cruised the world and enjoyed numerous African safaris. His most meaningful vacations were treating his family to the gift of travel. Kenny was a giving and dedicated family man and always valued sharing a meal and good conversation with his large family. He was always quick with a joke and had a story for every occasion. Kenny's friends and family frequently experienced his kind generosity and were inspired by his appreciation of the simple things in life. Kenny is loved deeply by his family and was the spark of joy and goodness that guided his family for more than 50 years.
