Kevin (Kip) Peterson died on May 8, 2024. Born to Harry and Elaine Peterson, Kip was raised in Danville, Illinois, before his educational endeavors took him from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and Coral Gables, Florida. Throughout his professional career, he worked on projects around the globe, from Turkmenistan to Vietnam.

Kip was preceded in death by his parents, sister Pamela, and brother Derek. He is survived by his two children, Katie and Derek, two sisters, Li and Dee, and brother, Neil.

A lifelong lover of the ocean and Merchant Mariner, in lieu of a traditional service, Kip's ashes will spread in the Atlantic Ocean so he can forever sail the seas he cherished so deeply.
