With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kimberly “Kim” Torres, a devoted mother, proud Gigi, beloved partner, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy defined by strength, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Family was the center of Kim’s world. Nothing brought her more joy than having her sons, grandchildren, family, and friends gathered together. Whether it was a holiday filled with laughter, a birthday celebrated with one of her unforgettable cakes, or sharing a meal she had spent all day preparing, she had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, cared for, and loved.
Kim’s love was quiet but unconditional. She wasn’t one to express her feelings with grand words, but she showed her love through her actions—by opening her home, preparing meals that became family staples, offering a helping hand, and always showing up when someone needed her. If she had only one thing to give, she would have given it without hesitation.
She was fiercely loyal, incredibly resilient, and one of the strongest people her family ever knew. Though she carried burdens that many never saw, she faced life with determination and an unwavering commitment to the people she loved. Caring for others came naturally to Kim. She was always making sure those around her were fed, supported, and cared for, often putting the needs of everyone else before her own.
Kim had a creative spirit, an artistic touch, and believed the little details mattered because they made the people she loved feel special. Her kitchen wasn’t just where meals were made—it was where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and family came together. Many of her family’s favorite memories were made around her table, where no one ever left hungry.
Above all else, Kim was most proud of the family she built, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for the people she loved. Her greatest legacy lives on through her sons, grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to have experienced her unconditional love. She taught those closest to her the value of forgiveness, perseverance, generosity, and never giving up on the people you love.
Kim is survived by her loving sons, Mason, Jeff, and Alec Torres; her daughters-in-law, Alyssa and Jodie Torres; her cherished grandchildren, Jager, Madden, Kaiser, Jaymson, Marley, Gunner, Isabelle, Aiden, and Acen Torres; her beloved partner, Jay Reding; her sisters, Sherri Dahl and Tina Primavera; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her kindness and love.
Kim’s greatest gift was making people feel loved. She didn’t just tell people they mattered—she showed them, every single day. That gift will continue to live on in every family gathering, every holiday tradition, every shared meal, and every act of kindness inspired by the extraordinary example she set.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
