Kimberly Kay Whitby-Washington of Denton, Texas, passed away Friday, January 30th. Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Friday, February 6th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Services will be held at St. Andrew's Church of God in Christ on Saturday, February 7th at 11:00 am.

Kimberly was born January 16, 1968 in Denton, Texas to Maxine Whitby Ebron and Leroy Whitby, Sr. She graduated from Denton High School in 1986. She began working for Denton ISD in 2001 at Calhoun Middle School. She was deeply loved by all her students as we as the staff at Calhoun Middle School. Kimberly was loved by so many and accepted because of her enormous heart of gold. She will be greatly missed and her legacy will live on forever.

She is survived by: husband Larry Washington of Denton, daughters, Kimetra Whitby, Jammie Whitby, Skylar Washington, and granddaughter, Aspen Sherman, all of Denton. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Whitby Amanchuku, Debra Whitby Peterson, Shundra Whitby, all of Denton and her brother Leroy Whitby, Jr. of Little Elm, as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
