Kristin Trimpe
Williamson
June 30, 1966 – July 15, 2018
Kristin Trimpe Williamson, 52 of Denton, Texas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at home with her husband by her side. She was born on June 30, 1966 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Peter and Susan (Reinbolt) Trimpe. Kristin married David A. Williamson in 2001.
Kristin was a member of the St. David of Wales Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild and was a member of the Daughters of the King, a fellowship of women who loved her to the end and beyond.
Kristin taught art at Newton Razor Elementary School in Denton, Texas, where she was loved dearly by her students. (How many of you invited your elementary art teacher to your high school graduation? It happened frequently to Kristin.) Kristin's greatest joys came when her students had the "Aha!" moments that made their eyes shine and their worlds open up. For Kristin, art was not a subject to be taught but a whole new way of experiencing this amazing world. More than anything she loved it when students asked the penetrating questions that usually only children can ask. And as a brilliant teacher she usually would only respond with a smile and a question that inspired them to think even more deeply. When Kristin was asked, "Do you have children?" she would respond (despite having none of her own), "YES! More than 600 every year!" And she meant it.
Kristin is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Susan. She is survived by her husband, David; sister, Katie Drolsum and husband Dru of Nashville, Tennessee; "Mom, Dad, and Little Sis" a.k.a. Aunt Marie and Uncle George Powell and their daughter,Adrianne Enering, of California; Uncle Chuck Reinbolt III of Bay City, Michigan; nephew and Godson, Alex Robinson; in addition to four cousins, and many nieces and nephews whom she also considered her "kiddos".
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. David of Wales Episcopal Church in Denton, located at 623 Ector Street.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Daughters of the King (DOK) at St. David of Wales.
