Lance Ray Read, 42, of Krum, Texas passed away on January 27, 2022, in Denton. He was born in Denton, Texas to Larry and Connie Read.

Lance loved his family and friends. His infectious smile and laughter could light up a room.  He married his high school sweetheart Susan South in 2019.  He was a third-generation truck driver who strived to be like his grandfather Ed Watson.  When not driving his truck, he was making the best campfires with his son Alexander.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Read, son, Alexander Read, stepdaughter, Christina Gonzales, his mother and father, brothers, Shay Read and Scott Read, and his sister Lindsay Sanford of Krum.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM at New Life Tabernacle Church in Little Elm, Texas.
