Obituary
Lara Geneva Cearley, 95, of Denton, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was born on September 23, 1917 in Leo, TX to Robert Dempsey and Clara Landford Dempsey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slidell.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Slidell. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Slidell Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Cates officiating.
Geneva is survived by her son, Delwin Higgs; sister, Bonnie White; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Frank Higgs and Cleo Cearley; and her parents.
