Larry "Pops" Ragland of Denton, Texas, passed on March 28, 2024, peacefully at home with his family. Larry was born October 21, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Edward and Vandeen Ragland. During his growing up years, Larry and company had lots of fun finding trouble, but managed to keep one step ahead. Most of the time. He joined the United States Army in 1971 and served till 1977. During that time, Larry served in the Vietnam War as a Medevac pilot with the 68th Medical Detachment. After his stint in the Army, he was a diesel mechanic until he retired.

Larry was known for being a man who wore many hats, who had even more talents, and more importantly, truly had the biggest heart.

Larry is survived by his son Joel (Carrie), brothers Paul (Judy), David, sister Elizabeth (Joe), five grandkids, his nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and former wife Jonie.

Celebration of life to be held Monday October 21, 2024 from 6-8pm at 1123 Fort Worth Drive, Denton, Texas, 76205 (Fat Down BBQ).
