Larry South, 66, of Krum, Texas passed away on February 8, 2022 in Denton, Texas. He was born on November 5, 1954 in Snyder, Texas to Lee Roy and Audrey South.

Larry retired from Lanes Construction where he built many of NASCAR Racetracks. He spent most of his years driving a semi-truck in which he was very proud of.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Read, sisters Brenda Hood, Debbie Odom, and Geri Odom, brother, Ray Odom, special friend, Alexandra "Allie" Davenport and Michael "Duane" Levacy, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters, Linda Robinson and Donna Jones.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 11:30 – 1:30 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A Graveside service will be held at Jackson Cemetery  in Krum, Texas at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2022.

Larry did not want flowers, he requested that donations be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital. Plants are welcome for the family.
