Laura Capps-Latham, 42, of The Colony, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014. She was born on January 31, 1972 in Alice, TX to Larry Capps and Margaret Lynn McKinney Capps. She married Michael Latham in Lewisville on December 7, 2002 and was a former teacher at the Peanut Gallery Daycare. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Pro-Life Advocate, and supporter of "Texas For Life" organ and tissue donation program.
A local memorial service will be on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Drive, Denton, TX 76201 with Deacon Thomas officiating. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove, TX, with Father Chris Downey officiating.
Laura is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Matthew Latham; parents, Larry and Lynn Capps of Copperas Cove; sister, Lucy and husband Shawn Raleigh ; nephews, Jaxson and Brantley Raleigh of Burleson, TX; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Janis Latham of Shreveport, LA; grandmother, Albina Capps of Sequin, TX; grandfather, Gordon Latham of Denham Spring, LA; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "Texas for Life" organ and tissue donation programs.
