Laura Smith, 76, of Denton passed away on May 20, 2017.  She was born on June 3, 1940 in Denton to Otis F. and Sally Smith.  She married the love of her life, Alvin Don Smith, on May 21, 1956.  He preceded her in death on January 4, 2014.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was a member of the Central Park Baptist Church.

Laura is survived by her son, Steve Smith of Plano, five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Tracy Dugan and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 9-10:00
A.M. with a memorial service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, Interment will follow at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
