Lavilla Johnson, 80, of Denton passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side. She was born on August 2, 1937 in Kaufman, Texas to Ben and Carmen Thurston Lide. She graduated from Canton High School in 1955.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Terry Johnson of Denton, daughters; Donna and husband David Tucker of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Denise and husband Randy Snow of Denton, Darla and husband Mark Lewis of Marionville, Missouri, sisters, Nancy Mulhearn of Monroe Louisiana, KaSaundra Harris of Canton, Texas, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father and great granddaughter, Alexa Grace Tucker.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 6-8 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Services will be held at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Denton on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM, interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
