Lawrence J. Bentley, 82, of Denton passed away on July 20, 2017 in Denton, Texas surrounded by his fami.ly. He was born on December 17, 1934 in Detroit, MI. to Elmer and Jeanne (Stevens) Bentley. Lawrence married the love of his life Evelyn J. Cole.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn J., four sons, Gary Bentley and wife Sandra, Robert Bentley and wife Kathy, Mark Bentley and wife Patti, Ken Bentley and wife Sue, one brother, Jim Bentley, one sister, Mary Lou, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Jeanne Bentley, and two brothers, Richard and Tom.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. at the Oak Hills Community Church at 601 South Highway 377, Argyle, TX.
