Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Kankiewicz, 76, of Argyle passed away on March 13, 2019. He was born on June 13, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to Joseph and Janet (Dominiska) Kankiewicz.

Larry is survived by his wife, Joan of Argyle, daughters; Kristen Ratcliffe and her husband James of Richardson, Tx., Milissa Dohm and her husband Robert of Lewisville, Tx., sister, Charmaine Kankiewicz of Missouri, brothers; Gary (Ann) Kankiewicz of Ohio and Terrance (Annette) Kankiewicz of New York, six grandchildren (Jessica, Kaitlyn, Madison, Richard, Emily and Alexandra) and four great-grandchildren (Carmen, Joshua, Scarlett and Beau).

Larry was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and Poppie  He and his wife, Joan had 54 wonderful years together.  He was a Boy Scout Leader, member of the Knights of Columbus, and chronic volunteer. He had a long career with American Airlines that spanned four decades.  Larry was known for his quick wit, funny emails and dad jokes.  He could talk about anything and everything with anyone and often did. He was a knowledgeable handyman who was always willing to help out with any project.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 6-8 PM with a rosary to be said at 7PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Argyle, Texas.
