Lawrence "Larry" Duane Knoll, 75 of Denton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at The Harrison at Heritage in Fort Worth. He was born September 25, 1948 in Garden City, KS to Edwin Godfrey and Eleanor Theresa Seib Knoll. He received his Bachelor's degree at Fort Hays University in Hays, KS. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Larry married Katherine "Kathy" Ann Hoffman on January 24, 1970 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays, KS., and was a member of the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Argyle, TX. Larry retired after 36 years as CEO of three credit unions. He surely had found the work he loved to do, was very innovative, a problem solver, and was well known in the Credit Union National Association. After his diagnosis of Parkinson's he was very determined to fight that disease. He was instrumental in getting the Rock Steady Boxing program started in the Robson community to help others in their fight against the disease.
Rosary will begin held at 9:30 a.m. with services to began at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at St. Mark's Catholic Church with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Knoll, of Denton and two sons: Joseph and his wife, Pam, in Yardley, Pennsylvania and Jon and his wife, Laura, in Plano, Texas.
