Leda June Shoopman, 89, of Denton, Texas went to her eternal home on December 28, 2024. Leda was born in Faxon, Oklahoma to Chester and Jessie Martin on September 27, 1935. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Leda married William Henry Shoopman August 7, 1954. The Shoopman's moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1955. They moved to Dallas in 1958. They moved to Denton in 1962.

Henry and Leda attended First Baptist Church in Denton. Leda was member of The Auxiliary of The Gideon's International.

Leda is survived by her, son, Tim and wife Jennifer Beck Shoopman of Denton, Texas, grandsons Baron and Brock Shoopman of Denton, Texas, Will Koberick of Fort Worth, Texas, granddaughters Annsleigh, Ella and Landry Koberick of Denton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Shoopman, daughter Jessica Shoopman, parents Chester and Jessie Martin, brothers Weldon Martin and David Martin, sisters Arebelle Watts, Adaline Shoopman, Loeva Simpson and Bessie Botts.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Dr., Denton, TX 76201, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Celebration of Life Service to be held, 1:00 p.m., Friday January 3, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St., Denton, TX 76201.
