Leslie Van "Hoss" Smith, 79, of Fort Worth passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his residence after an 17 month battle with cancer. He was born July 23, 1935 in Vernon, TX to Roy Bailey Smith and Francis Mae Fletcher Smith. He married Charlene "Charli" Brown on February 3, 1955 in Vernon.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the family home in Fort Worth.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene "Charli" Smith of Fort Worth; sons: Leslie Curtis Smith of Fort Worth, Mark Dwayne Smith and wife Teresa Smith of Fort Worth, Phillip Wade Smith and wife Lualice Smith of Headland, AL; brother, Roy Curtis "Rip" Smith and wife Lil of Granbury; Special Brother-in-Law Bobby Brown and wife Dianne of Harrold, TX; 7 grandsons: Wade (Amber), Derek (Ashley) and Jake Smith of Headland, AL; Matthew and Curtis Dale Smith of Fort Worth; Josh and Craig (Amanda) Smith of Keller; 1 granddaughter; Jessica (Jeremy) Olvera of Fort Worth... 6 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters and numerous cousins and friends.
