Lester E. Bishop, 61, of Krum, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 27, 1954 in Whitehall, IL to Lester C. and Elnora Gillis Bishop. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. He married Sandra J. Tennant on April 8, 1977 in Manhatten, KS. He was a pipeline operator for BP Amoco. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Lions Club and Krum Historical Society.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Graveside service will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Jackson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Green, Jeff Rudrick, Roger Canady, Charles Tennant, Don Wheeler and Dakota Bell.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bishop of Krum; daughters, Carrie Bishop and Lisa Bishop of Krum; brother, Clarence Bishop of Whitehall, Il and grandchildren, Chad Green, Natalie Burkey, and Daxton Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Henson and brother, Delbert Bishop.
