Obituary
Leta Nell Brown, 81, of Denton passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Denton. Leta was born on December 15, 1933 in Aubrey, Texas to William Moris and Vera Sims. She attended New Hope and Aubrey Public Schools and graduated from Pilot Point High School. She was also a member of the Highland Baptist Church.
Leta was the owner and operator of Leta B's Jewlry in Justin, and also was employed at FEMA, then later at Davis' Bakery.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Highland Baptist Church in Denton. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy McCarty of Dallas; son, Russell Brown of Denton; sisters, Bernice Wardlaw of Denton, Faye Cross of Aubrey, and Lavern Watkins of Denton; 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alvin and Orville Sims.
