Lewis Wayne Behringer, 80, passed away at home on Sunday, February 19, 2017.  He was born in Denton to Ernest Gilbert Behringer and Mabel Wilson Behringer.  A graduate of DHS class of 1954, he served in the US Army and National Guard.  Lewis was a senior member of the American Legion Post 71 here in Denton.

Lewis and Jimmy Ownes owned and operated B & O Gulf on the corner of McKinney and Locust St. here in Denton for 30 years.

Visitation will be Friday night from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors.  Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, the 25th, at Roselawn Memorial Park.

He is survived by a nephew, Mike Behringer, and a host of friends.  Lewis was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Leon Behringer.
