Lila Lee Harper, 75, of Denton, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012. She was born on September 21, 1937 in Holland, TX to George Lee Latham and Texanna Ferguson. She married Donald M. Harper on Christmas Eve 1960 in Gonzalez, TX and was a member of Denton Bible Church.

Following a private interment, a memorial service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Denton Bible Church with Rev. Tom Nelson officiating. Burial is at Sanger Cemetery.

Lila is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Lee(Sue) and James(Angie) and grandchildren, Sarah Laird, Chris Laird, Jacob Harper and Aiden Harper; sisters-in-law Wynema Arledge and Doris Medley; and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Thomas Latham and a sister Georganna Stuart.

Lila loved to cook, read, and travel. She had a giving spirit and was known to purchase gifts on speculation. She co-taught a religious-education class for adults with mental retardation for several years. But her ultimate pleasure was to be in her Master's house sharing in worship to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to whom she gave praise for what He was able to do through her.
