On Saturday, December 1, 2018, Linda Fischer -- Cancer Warrior, loving wife, mother and grandmother -- passed away at her home at the age of 70.

Linda was born on November 11, 1948, in Joplin, Missouri, to Carmen and Grace (Prall) Perconti.  On February 27, 1970, she married Wayne "Mike" Fischer.  They raised two daughters, Julie and Laura.

Linda was a retiree of Texas Woman's University where she worked as a Business Manager in the Office of Institutional Development.  Linda was a graduate of the International Business School of Denton where, in 1999, she earned her Computerized Office Specialist Diploma with Honors.  Since moving to Denton in 1983, Linda also worked for the University of North Texas, JCPenney, Texas Instruments/Raytheon, and Denton Regional Medical Center .

Linda described herself as, "Gardener, Persistent, Caretaker, Animal Lover…Lover of Sunsets, French Horns, Running Water, Music, My Own Place."  She was a former member of the Denton Community Chorus and she appeared in several productions with Denton Community Theatre.  Her kind, compassionate heart compelled her to visit the sick and the elderly often, to volunteer with the Youth Ministry at her church, and to actively promote fellowship and hope among the cancer community. She especially enjoyed attending the yoga classes offered by Yoga Bridge of Denton and worked as a passionate ambassador to increase program awareness and participation.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Carmen, her mother, Grace, and her brother, Ronald Perconti.  She is survived by her husband, Mike, her two daughters, Julie Pacatte and husband, Robert Pacatte, Laura Fischer and husband, Briese Marcotte, four granddaughters, Trinity and Liberty Pacatte, Carlie and Calista Marcotte, and her cat, Louie.

The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors located at 2025 W. University Dr. in Denton for visitation from 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 2255 N. Bonnie Brae St. in Denton.
