Linda Jean Han, a woman whose heart was as vast as her kindness, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, in Denton, Texas. Born on July 17, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan, Linda’s journey through life was marked by unwavering love and dedication to her family and those fortunate enough to know her.
From the gentle embrace of her early years in Jackson to her enduring presence in Denton, Linda was cherished for her warm spirit and generous nature. She was the kind of person who would do or give anything for anyone, always ready with a comforting smile or a helping hand. Her kindness was not limited to people alone—her beloved dog, Lilly, was a constant companion and source of joy.
Linda’s passions were deeply rooted in family. She loved holding her dog Lilly close, delighting in the playful energy that lifted every room. She had a mischievous side that came out when giving her children a hard time, fueling their spirited personalities while inspiring laughter and resilience. Being surrounded by her precious grandchildren was one of Linda’s greatest joys, moments she cherished dearly.
Her surviving family is a testament to the legacy of love she leaves behind. Linda was a beloved sister to Rusty and a treasured mother to Anna, Tommy, and Jimmy. She was also blessed with wonderful daughters-in-law, Allison and Natalie; granddaughters-in-law, Teresa and Marisol and grandson-in-law, Anjel, who were embraced as family. Her grandchildren Dale, Jeana, Brittany, Alex, Brandon, Courtney, Ethan, and Megan, along with her great-grandchildren Addyson, Dawson, Oaklee, and Royal, carried forward her spirit of warmth and strength. Lilly, her faithful dog, remains a symbol of the companionship and comfort Linda spread far and wide.
Linda was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jae Sub Han; her loving parents, Lillis Jean Nelson and Lavern Nelson; and her siblings Daniel Nelson and Sandy Havens. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, the memories she etched into the hearts of those she loved will remain enduring and profound.
A visitation to honor Linda’s memory will be held on April 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, located at 2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201. The funeral service will follow on April 9, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at the same location, with the service concluding at 11:00 AM.
In remembering Linda Jean Han, we hold close the image of a kind and loving soul who brightened every life she touched. Her legacy is one of unwavering affection, spirited family bonds, and a heart that forever gave. Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and immeasurable grace.
