Linda Carol McIntire (née Sanders) passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her home in Denton, Texas. She was born in Portales, New Mexico on December 29, 1939 to John and Irva Sanders. Linda married Jerald Gene McIntire in 1963, whom she met while attending college.

Linda studied theater and music earning her undergraduate degree from Baylor and a master's degree from Eastern New Mexico State University. Her love of theater took her to teaching high school drama, English, and several other subjects.

Linda later became a licensed therapist and a counselor for university students; eventually she worked as an addiction recovery specialist for the prison system of the state of New Mexico until her retirement in 2008.

She raised three sons and instilled her ideals and lifelong love of literature, art, film, and especially music into the three of them.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald.

Linda is survived by her three sons, Christian, Ross, and John, John's wife Natalie, and three grandsons, Dionicio, Aurelio, and Enias.
