Linda Johnson McKeown, 73 of Denton, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 23, 2023.  She was born in Denton, Texas on August 2, 1950, to Isaac L. and Jewel Sims Johnson.  She was a graduate of Denton High School class of 1968.  She married David Lynn McKeown on May 3, 1971, in Lufkin,Texas.

Visitation and viewing will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors, Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Tim McKeown officiating.  The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.

Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, David McKeown of Denton, children, Lisa Carter and her husband Shawn of Denton, Michael McKeown and his wife Shannon of Sanger, and six grandchildren: Catherine, Caitlyn, and Caroline Carter and Grace, David, and Michael McKeown, her sister Daphne St. John of Fort Worth and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Woodrow Johnson of Fort Worth and Butch Johnson of Springdale, Arkansas, and her sisters Ruby Jo Morrow and Shirley Kraus both of Denton.
