Linda Louise Wilburn's Obituary

Linda Louise Pridemore Wilburn, age 72, died peacefully on August 23, 2018 at her home with family, after a long and hard battle with cancer.  Linda was born on July 12 th , 1946 in Coleman, Texas, the daughter of Ralph and Louise (Knowles) Pridemore.

Linda married the love of her life, Howard Mac Wilburn, in Abilene, Texas over 54 years ago.  They moved to Dallas to start a new career after their first son was born.   As a proud mother of four boys, she adored children which led her to opening a daycare to teach and mentor.  Prior to that, she enjoyed a successful real estate career and being an active stay at home mom which included volunteering with the PTA and the Cub Scouts.   Most recently, she joined her husband's real estate appraisal company as a partner and manager for more than 20 years.

She had a love for Jesus which she lived out through her worship as a former member of Harvest Church and Prestonwood Baptist Church and a current member of Southmont Baptist Church.  She served in women ministries, prayer groups, and vacation bible school.

She is remembered for having a huge heart, great sense of humor, love for her family, a devotion to the Lord, and always putting her family and others first.  She was fond of arts and crafts, games with her family and playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mac and her four sons: Shane Wilburn of Haltom City, Tim Wilburn of Dallas, Todd Wilburn of Bonham, and Tad Wilburn of Shady Shores.  She is also survived by her brothers Skip Pridemore of New Mexico and Randy Pridemore of Indiana and her nine grand-children and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ralph and Louise (Knowles) Pridemore, and her brother, Rodney Pridemore.

Please come celebrate the life of Linda Wilburn at Southmont Baptist Church on Saturday, September 15 th at 1pm located at 2801 Pennsylvania Drive in Denton, TX 76205.

The family wanted to share one of her favorite quotes from 2 Timothy 4:6-8:

"For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
