Lisa Gay DeMore, 54, of Denton passed away on December 6, 2018 in Denton. She was born in Denton, Texas on January 21, 1964 to Robert and Charlene (Alexander) Townsend.

Lisa graduated from DHS in 1982, and has been a resident of Denton County all of her life. After having her children and being a homemaker for many years, she joined her mother in working for FEMA, where she stayed for the remainder of her working years. She loved to cook, be at the beach, ride on the back of a Harley, and never met a stranger. She was loved by so many because she loved all, and always made everyone feel like family.

She is survived by her daughters, Andi Michelle Carpenter of Denton and Rea Lynn Carpenter of Aubrey, son, Benjemine Seth Carpenter of Denton, bonus children, Bryan and Kelvin DeMore, grandchildren, Michael (Mikey), Olivia, Bryson, Greenley, Krystian, and Jameson, Cousin Jenny, Aunt Nancy and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters, Tammy and Kathy Johnson, brothers Wayne Townsend and Tony Townsend, former spouse, David DeMore, and bonus daughter, K'Lynn DeMore

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 6-8 PM at First Baptist Church of Krugerville, in Krugerville, Texas. Services will be held at the Church on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Sam Redfern officiating.
