IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lois Lee
Peters
August 15, 1934 – February 23, 2017
Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lois Lee Peters, passed away February, 23, 2017 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 82. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on August 15, 1934 to Thomas Selby Slayden and Olive Winona Barnhart Slayden. Lois was married to the late David Huey Peters on February 26, 1954.
Lois was many things to many people, especially a good friend and listener. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was sweet natured and was a friend to anyone she met. She was a devoted wife to our father and they had many great adventures together. She loved the beach and was always combing for shells. She was always there for her children at the drop of a hat, no matter what the distance. Lois faced many tragedies in her life, yet always kept a positive outlook on life and was a survivor. She was a lover of all animals, growing plants, and had many friends in her community. She had a passion for exotic birds and was an excellent seamstress. We will miss her very much.
She leaves behind her daughters Phylis Majerus and Karen Byrum, as well as 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Joanne Prather, Mary Tarver and son David Bryan Peters.
A memorial service will be held for Lois at Little Elm Park on Saturday Feb. 25, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.
