Lorraine Elizabeth Moore Sears passed away October 1, 2014 at her home with her loving family present. She was born December 12, 1933 in Moorestown, N.J. to Dorothy and Russell Moore. The family moved to Lake Charles, LA during the war and she grew up there.

Rainy attended St. Mary's Nursing School in Galveston where she received her R.N. degree in 1956. While in nursing school she met her future husband, Joseph Sears who was also in school at University of Texas of Texas Medical School in Galveston. They were married on June 23, 1956 and have been married for 58 wonderful years.

She owned Nantucket Antiques and was a nurse for the TWU Infirmary.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Joe Sears, three children, Liz Sears Witte and husband Mark, Connie Sears Lane and husband Mark, Joey Sears and wife Connie Koberick; four wonderful grandchildren, Sarah Lane, Hayden Witte, Hannah Lane and Warren Sears; brother, George Moore and his wife Maryadele of Sugarland.

Rainy and Joe had a wonderful and happy marriage. Over their marriage, they agreed that they would never go to sleep angry at each other.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors.
