Louise Stephens Massey, 92, of Denton passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her residence.  She was born September 13, 1921 in Denton to Joe Carol Stephens and Nettie Snapp Stephens.  She retired from the Denton Independent School District after more than 40 years of service as assistant to the Principal. She had worked at both Denton Junior High School and Strickland Middle School. Over the years she had made many friendships and mentored countless students who passed through the halls of both schools. Louise was active in the community during retirement, serving as an election judge and working as a volunteer at the First United Methodist Church of Denton. She is survived by her son Robert "Skip" Massey, daughter-in-law Kathy Massey and two grand children, Landon Massey and Cole Massey. All the surviving family members presently reside in California.

A graveside service will be held Monday September 15th, 11:00 am at Roselawn Memorial Park with a private gathering of immediate family and close friends.
