Louise Hanna Wyss passed away in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Lucille Hanna on November 3, 1942.
Louise enjoyed traveling the world and in the past few years loved her sojourns at her Irish home. She appreciated all the natural world and reveled in its beauty.
Louise graduated from UNT in 1963 with a degree in art. She married Albert in 1964. She was a curator of education with Audubon when they lived in Washington DC. She was also a Master Naturalist and was a curator at the Houston Zoo. As well she was a pilot.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Albert M. Wyss and her parents. Louise is survived by many nieces, nephews and greats as well as sisters and brothers-in-laws. A large family whom she loved and who loved her.
A memorial service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 3, 2022. Louise will be laid to rest at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park next to her husband, Albert.
The Biblical verse from 1 Peter 3:4 aptly describes our Louise:
" You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious to God. "
