Luther Reed Sallee, 66, of Ponder went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2016. He was born on January 4, 1950 in Hollis, OK to Luther and Lucille Sallee. He married Betty Bearden Sallee in Denton, TX in 1967.

He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the owner of Catch-A-Fault NDT.

Luther is survived by his wife of 49 years Betty Sallee, one daughter, Terri Cochrum and husband Brandon, one son, L. Reed Sallee and wife Cynthia of Ponder, two sisters, Peggy Bowman of New Mexico, Velda Black, one brother, James Sallee both of Tyler, Texas three grandchildren, Kasi Sallee, Cameron Sallee and Vada Cochrum all of Ponder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Jerrie Beale and Vesta Sallee.

Visitation will be Friday May 6, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral will be Saturday May 7, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Ponder.
