IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynda Dickson
Booth
October 12, 1948 – June 28, 2023
Lynda Dickson Booth passed away peacefully at her home in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. She was born on October 12, 1948 to Farris and Sue Dickson.
Lynda had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. In her life she lived in Denton, Spain, Hawaii, Tennessee, Maryland, and Florida. She also spent time in the Caribbean and South America. Her favorite place to be though was right here in Texas on the family farm.
Lynda loved animals, and they were drawn to her. Horses, dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits were always calmed in her presence. A dog named Buffy and a miniature donkey named Boots were probably her favorites.
Lynda became a Mimi when her grandchildren were born, which gave her a valid excuse to act like a child again. Many books were read, movies watched, pictures drawn, Wii games played, and hours of laughter was had by all.
Lynda was known for always having a smile on her face and a contagious laugh. She was a true lady with the biggest, kindest heart. She always put others before herself. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She truly represented the best of us.
Lynda was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Booth, her parents Farris and Sue Dickson, and her son-in-law Joseph Gardiner.
Lynda is survived by her son Jay Booth and his wife Shantel of Antioch, Tennessee; her daughter Susan Gardiner of Denton, Texas; her grandchildren Meagan Gardiner and her husband Matt, Mallory Gardiner, Anya Booth, and Farris (Ryken) Booth, her brother Joe Dickson and his wife Jennifer of Aubrey, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends she thought of as family.
Lynda's wishes were to be laid to rest by having her ashes spread at her beloved family farm instead of a service.
