Obituary

Lynn Ann Briggs, 69 of Denton passed away at her home on August 7, 2014.

Mrs. Briggs was born on September 18, 1944 in Harrison, Arkansas to Lowell and Dorothy (Clark) Little. She was an avid bingo player and Jitterbug dancer.

The Little family moved to the Denton area in April of 1957. Lynn attended Denton High School, graduating in 1962. It was there she initially met Ernest Briggs. After graduation she completed two years of college, then started working at Victor Equipment Co., in Denton. It was through their association at Victor Equipment that Ernest and Lynn formed their relationship. They married November of 1968 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Lynn was the first daughter born of four siblings. Her older brother was Lowell and then came younger siblings, Paul and Susan. She was always a sister to be reckoned with, and even with the diversity found in a family of six, always seemed to win out. You always wanted her on your side, and we all loved her. As we all grew up and went our separate ways, she never left our thoughts and hearts. At this solemn time, we again feel the enormous void of Lynn going her separate way.

Lynn is survived by: her Husband, Ernest Briggs of Denton; Son, Paul Briggs of Orlando, Florida; Daughter, Rebecca Edgar of Denton, Texas; and two Brothers, Lowell P. Little of Albuquerque, NM and Paul C. Little of Denton, Texas. She also has five grandchildren; Mother in law, Anita Rainey; Sister in laws, Sue Aldag and husband Virgil, Julie Doty; and Brother in law, Terry Rainey and wife Jerri.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell P. and Dorothy Little, as well as sister Susie. May she find peace and God's grace.

The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 5-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Virgil Aldag officiating. A private family interment will follow at Cooper Creek Cemetery in Denton, Texas.
