Manuel Dean Wilson passed away on March 6, 2017 in Denton, TX. He was born to Herley A. and Clara B. Howe Wilson on October 29, 1937 in Dexter, New Mexico.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era from 1959 – 1962 in Ft. MacArthur, California.  He married Janet Kay Merriman on September 25, 1993 in Plano, TX.  He worked as an auto Body Technician for ANL Collision Center in Denton, Texas at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Wilson of Aubrey, daughters, Christi Wilson-Fager and husband Terry and children Drew, Valerie and Shannon, Lisa Teague and children Nick and Jaci, Brenda Quiring and husband Brandon and 3 sons, Branden, Jake and Cale, Lindsey Lambert and husband Mark and son Nathaniel and expecting a second child.

He is also survived by brothers; John and Ken and sisters; Wanda, Wilma, Anita and Kaylene, many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Dean was a friend and mentor to many and was always willing to help others in any way possible.  He had the gift of making people laugh and for his positive outlook on life that was uplifting to all that knew and loved him. His favorite expression was, "Praise God"!

He is preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister, Roma.

He is a minister with Tower of Faith Ministries of Enid, OK and a man of God since he was 17.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Open Range Cowboy Church of North Texas in Krum, Texas located at 7290 Hawkeye Road, Krum Texas 76249.

In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to the American Heart Association in his name.
