Margaret Ann Hutmacher, 81, of Denton passed away Friday, May 20, 2016. She was born January 31, 1935 to Hallie and Fauncine Davidson in Egan, Texas.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents Hallie and Fauncine, and her brother Ronnie.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved having her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews spend time with her during their summer vacations, where they would take trips to the beach or spend the day splashing around in her pool.
As a teacher, diagnostician, and school psychologist she touched countless children's lives over several decades. She was a volunteer at Almeda Methodist and later Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, serving on boards, committees, as well as leading Sunday School and Vacation Bible School classes.
She was a world traveler, and visited many places in the US, Mexico, Asia, and Europe, traveling with her friends every summer. She did not like to sit still for very long and was always on the move, looking for a new place to visit with her friends.
She instilled the sense of giving in her children and led by example, supporting PBS, Houston's Museum of Fine Arts, Doctors Without Borders, her churches, and other charities large and small.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Union Hill Cemetery in Joshua, Texas.
