Margaret Ruth Smedley Barboza, 63, of Hickory Creek passed away on November 21, 2016 in Denton, Texas. She was born on March 5, 1953 in Greenville, S.C. to James and Madge Smedley. She married Danny Barboza on July 10, 1993 in Denton, Texas.

Margaret graduated from W.T. White in 1971 in Dallas, Texas. After high school she went to Tyler Junior College. She worked for McKee Real State. In 1990 she worked for the U.S. Census. She then went to work for V.F.W. in Lake Dallas. She was the owner of M&R Pool Supply and was on the Board of Adjustments of Hickory Creek.

Margaret is survived by her husband Danny, sister, Barbara Smedley Hall and husband Steve, nephews, Michael Barboza, Luke Hall and wife Alisha, nieces, Shannon Hall Steinert and husband Kaedon, Jennifer Smedley Jones and husband Jeff, Erin Smedley Ray and husband John, brother in law, Darwin Baroza and wife Launa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Madge and brother, Jim Smedley.

Funeral services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. on Monday November 28, 2016 with burial to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.
