Obituary

Margot N. Gonzalez, 75, of Denton passed away on Thursday September 14, 2017 in Denton. She was born on December 26, 1941 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Jesus L. and Genoveva G. Gonzalez.

Margot was born a pretty green-eyed little baby with chubby cheeks. As time went on, her eyes turned brown and the chubby cheeks went away, but she was still a middle "big sis" and her sisters thought the world of her. She grew up working long hours like her mom and dad in the family restaurant business. The hard work and long hours didn't faze her however. She grew to love her live with loving parents and two loving sisters. Being the "middle" she was sometimes overlooked, but never forgotten. As a matter-of-fact, her sisters thought she was mom and dad's favorite. Of course, it might be because she was the calm, logical-thinking one, not your typical teenager at all. She loved animals...dogs in particular and had a green thumb when it came to planting anything. She would just stick her thumb in soil, put in the seed or cutting, and it would grow straight and true. This was kinda like Margot's life. She would tell it "like it was" (at least to her) and let that be that. She made a lot of friends in her final residence and they all knew what Margot was thinking because she would tell them. We know they will miss her as much as we do and we know she is enjoying her heavenly home with mom and dad, catching up on old times with them as they show her around her new home. We love you, Margot, and will miss you very much, but we know you are happy in your new home as you go about making new friends and seeing what is going on with old friends. We are forever grateful to have you as our sister.

Margot is survived by her sisters, Ganty Munoz and Angie Miller (Randy), nieces Veronica Miller, Carrie Arispe (Joe), Margie Lewison (Scott), Vera and Dariela Munoz, nephews Jesse, Bobby, Hector, Ervey Munoz, great nephews Brenden Lewison, Rylie Hardin, and great nieces Mackenzie Hardin and Kayleigh Lewison.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be on Sunday September 17, 2017 from 2-4 P.M. A funeral service will be Monday September 18, 2017 at 2:00 P.M., both at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
