Maria Del Socorro Gonzalez, 73, of Denton, TX passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022. She was born in Melchor, Muzquiz, Coahuila Mexico, to Manuel Carrillo and Otila Trevino. She married Antonio Gonzalez on March 7, 1967 in Mexico.

Maria was employed at the University of North Texas as a custodial. She enjoyed She enjoyed sewing, making tamales and empanadas.  Her hobbies were dancing and playing loteria.

She is survived by her husband, Antonio Gonzalez of Denton, daughter, Sandra Gonzalez, daughter, Lorena Argo and husband Chris, son, John Gonzalez and wife Emilee, sisters, Maria Alaniz, Margareta Carrillo, brothers Jorge Carrillo and Rogelio Carrillo, one grandson Zachary.

She was preceded in death by her parents,  sister Martha Vega, brother Francisco Carrillo,  nephew Jesus Alaniz and niece Narciza Pinales.

The Family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, with a Rosary Service will begin at 3:30 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday, October 17, 2022 starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park following the service.
