Maria Oretega Lopez, 76, of Denton, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013. She was born on October 25, 1936 in Mexico to Refugio Oretega and Soledad Acosta Oretega. She married Juan Lopez on November 22, 1958 in McKinney.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6-8 pm with the Rosary starting at 7:00 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Maria is survived by her husband, Juan; children, Irene Rendon, Alejandro Lopez, Diana Weiler, and Maria (Mary) Soledad Lopez; sisters, Josefina Gaytan, Juventina Dela Garza, Socorro Zepeda, and Angie Zamarron; brother, Gilbert Oretega; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Amalia Moreno; brother, Antonio Ortega; and 1 grandson, Anthony Lopez.
