Maria Gabriela Olivas Portilla, 54, of Flower Mound, unfortunately passed away Sunday February 14, 2016. She was born on March 28, 1961 in Mexico City to Gustavo Portilla and Blanca Rodriguez. She worked as a Bilingual Teacher's Aide for the Denton Independent School District for nearly 15 years.

Gabriela was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She spent everyday loving and encouraging others to smile and live their life to the fullest through laughter. She worked extremely hard for her family's success. Her efforts were valued by many amongst the community. She was and will always be an angel on Earth here to remind everyone that life is short, life is beautiful, and family is everything.

Gabriela is survived by three proud daughters Bianca Gabriela Olivas, Cecilia Lorena Olivas and Diana Christina Olivas all of Flower Mound, Texas, sister, Graciela Portilla, three brothers, Gustavo Portilla, Antonio Portilla and David Portilla all of Mexico.

A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Mark Catholic Church on February 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Her family asks that white is worn to the Memorial Service to honor Gabriela's pure soul.

Her daughter's last words to Gabriela, "Te amamos Mami y siempre seras nuestra razón para vivir. Te vemos en nuestros sueños."
