Maria Magdelena Vargas, 86, of Denton, Texas passed away in Denton on December 4, 2014. She was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico on August 22, 1928 to Juan and Maria Perez.
She was a member of Lifeline Church in Denton, Texas and a homemaker. She married Carmelo Vargas in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on November 28, 1949)).
Maria is survived by her son, William Vargas and wife, Barbara of Denton, Texas, two daughters; Carmen Gorman of Fort Worth, Texas and Annette Rodriguez of Cranston, Rhode Island.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carmelo Vargas, her mother and father, Maria and Juan Perez.
The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 4-6 PM. The funeral service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
