Maria Pesina Zambrano, age 86, passed away surrounded by family on March 15, 2025 at her home in Forestburg, Texas. She was born in Thorndale, Texas on July 13, 1938 to Calletano and Pabla Pesina.

Maria enjoyed being outdoors tending to her many plants and flowers and most of all spending time with her family at any and all given opportunities. An avid storyteller, Maria loved sharing her childhood and adult memories with her loved ones.

Maria married Timoteo Zambrano on February 18, 1957. They shared over 63 wonderful years together. Together they had 7 children and made Ponder, Texas their home until moving to Denton in 1980 and finally to Forestburg in 2016.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, husband Timoteo, and her son Thomas Zambrano.

A viewing will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home from 10-11 AM with funeral services following directly after on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Maria will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park following the service.

Maria is survived by her sister Ramona Quintero of Burnet, son Tim and wife Kathy of Greenwood, daughter Amelia and husband Tommy of Sanger, son Tony and wife Jodi of Pilot Point, son Robert and wife Tammy of Wichita Falls, son Lupe and wife Barbara of Denton, daughter Melinda and husband David of Forestburg, and a myriad of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.
