Obituary

Marilee Rue Kenney of Denton TX, born in Waukegan IL on April 24, 1933 to Stanley and June (Pollock) Wiechecki, passed peacefully into Gods merciful hands on June 29, 2016, at Texas Health Presbyterian, Denton, TX, at the age of 83.
Marilee worked at Abbott Laboratories and was known for her attention to detail, outstanding professional work ethic and high standards. During her tenure
she was Administrative assistant to division heads and CEO's.
She retired to Denton as co-owner of Painted Flower Farm with her husband Donald Kenney. She loved working with paint horses and raised and trained and showed many. She was also a strong supporter of the plant nursery and was instrumental in making it a success. Marilee was also a talented interior decorator ("The Marilee Look"), clothing designer/seamstress and delighted in making stuffed animals and clothes for her children, grandchildren, friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Virginia Gearhart and Sharon Attaway and her grandson Jasen Deimler. She is survived by her devoted husband Donald Kenney and her brother Frank Major. She is also survived by her children; Patrick O'Malley, Colleen Deimler and her husband Ralph and Daniel Krason and his wife Dolores. Her grandchildren are Jessica Krason-Brown and her husband Brandon, Rebecca Perez and her husband Armando, Ralph Deimler III and great grandson Atreyu Krason-Brown all of whom feel blessed and will miss the love, support, laughter and sense of humor that she provided effortlessly. Patrick lives in Long Beach, CA and the rest of the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren live in the Chicago area.
There will be no services at this time, but the family would like all of you to
join them in thanking God for taking her away from her pain and suffering.
We can be sure Marilee asked "lord take me NOW to ease my pain and that of my family!"
Private remembrances of her life are being planned in Texas and a service in Waukegan, Illinois will be announced later for her family and many friends there. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her name to the American Lung Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
