Marilyn Joyce Williams, 69 of Corinth, Texas passed away on August 3, 2014 in Corinth.
Marilyn was born on January 18, 1945 to John H and Leola (Alexander) Hunt in Beckville, Texas. She attended Sunset High School, Bishop College, New York State and Long Beach College. Marilyn was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Marilyn married Robert Williams on July 23, 1983 in Long Beach, Ca. and was an educator at Long Beach Unified School in Long Beach, California.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert Williams, two sons; Elijah J. Williams III, Warren D. Williams, both of Long Beach, Ca. Two daughters, Dianne Williams Cox of Tallahassee, Florida and Lavonia Williams of Buda, Texas; two sisters, Margie Garrett of Compton, California and Sandra K. Hunt of Manteca, California; four brothers, John H. Hunt, Jr, Oscar Leo Hunt, Edward Hunt and James Hunt. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Antioch Christian Fellowship in Corinth, Texas on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
